Robert E. “Bobby” Robeck, age 75, of St. Michael, MN, passed away peacefully at his home August 29, 2011 after a year-long battle with esophageal cancer.

Born July 19, 1936 on the family farm in Frankfort Township, MN, the son of William and Theodora (Slovik) Robeck.

Bobby was an avid woodworker, had a quick-witted sense-of-humor, was a lover of impersonation and a proud member of the St. Michael Fire Department for 21 years, serving as Fire Chief for 5 years.

Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Marion (Dahlheimer) Robeck; daughters: Lorraine, Roberta (Glenn) Oslund both of Oakdale, MN and Brenda (Paul) Grundtner of Forest Lake, MN; grandchildren: Anna, Matthew, Jack & Amanda; sisters: Charlotte (Joe) Lowery, Jeanne (Gary) Chouinard; brothers: Jim (Margie) Robeck & Roger (Rose) Robeck. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4pm Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church with visitation at the church the same day from 1pm until the time of service.

Interment in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Michael Historic Church Preservation Society.

The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Minnesota Oncology, especially Dr. K & Lana.

    Please accept my sympathy for the loss of Bob/your Dad. You have had a year of ups and downs. I hope you are comforted by the memories of the ups as well as healthier times.
