Robert “Robbie” Christian Helland graced the world with his presence for a brief, yet profoundly impactful moment on June 26, 2024. Diagnosed at 22 weeks with a kidney condition, Robbie defied the odds and was born perfectly and wonderfully made at 34 weeks at 2:28 am. Weighing 5lbs, 3.7 ounces and measuring 19 inches long, Robbie was welcomed with boundless love by his family. Though his time with us was brief, Robbie’s impact on his family and all who awaited his arrival was immeasurable. He passed away peacefully at 3:26 am, in his daddy’s arms surrounded by the loving embrace of his family.

His dad, Nate, lovingly shared, “He will guide my arrow straight and be the swing in my cast.” Robbie’s time with us serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility and preciousness of life. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of loving him.

Robbie is preceded in death by his nana, LaVon Beseman; his great-grandparents, Christian Teigum, Lloyd and Ruth Helland, Duane Solvie, and Ken Beseman.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Nate and Trisha (Beseman) Helland; his adoring big sisters, Willow and Brooke; his grandparents, Terry Beseman, Robert and Terri Helland; his great-grandmas, Norma Solvie, Norma Teigum, and Arlene Beseman; his loving aunts, Brianna (Sam) Weyers and Tracy (Ross) Peters; his caring uncle, Troy (Najla) Beseman; and his cousins, Nora, Isaac, Caleb, Josh, Chloe, Kaylee, Karissa, and Kaia, along with many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, July 21,2024 from 3:00 PM – 5 PM at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9300 Jason Avenue NE, Monticello, MN.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com.

Your family loved Robbie so well from the start. You showed great courage and sustaining faith as you took those first steps to say goodbye.

Like the parents described in Matthew 19:13-14, you brought Robbie to Jesus, just as you had Willow and Brooke before him. And Jesus has welcomed Robbie into his very presence.

I trust, and continue to pray, that each of you will know God’s comfort and compassion, God’s peace and love.
