Robert George Treptau, age 55 of Corcoran, Minnesota, passed away May 3, 2021.
Rob was born October 11, 1965 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota as the fifth and youngest child to William and Joann (Richardson) Treptau. He grew up in Corcoran, and graduated with the Class of 1985 from Rockford High School, and worked various machine repair/construction/food service jobs in the Corcoran area.
Rob had a kind and gentle heart, with a bit of orneriness that seems to come naturally in the Treptau line. He loved his family, and enjoyed all the large family gatherings, even if he did more observing than taking part in all the conversations.
He was proud of his small town, and helped out when he could support the community. He enjoyed fishing area lakes and was a good cook, and always contributed food when family and friends got together.
He had a soft spot for animals, and especially loved his German Shepherds: Sooner, Later and Roxanne were his devoted companions over the years, and he always seemed to be leaving food out for any stray cats.
Rob is preceded in death by his parents, William and Joann. He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Theresa), Scott (Marie), Andrea (Darren) Heairet, and Daniel (Deb); 25 nieces and nephews, 11 grandnieces and grandnephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peterson Chapel, St. Michael, Minnesota on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Memorial service will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Road 101, Maple Grove. The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend, by visiting the church website: https://www.lordoflife.org/
A private interment will take place at Rudolph Niggler Cemetery in Osseo, Minnesota immediately after the service.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com

So sorry to hear that Rob passed away. Thank you so much for live streaming his funeral. What a BEAUTIFUL tribute to Rob. Everyone did such a wonderful job sharing Rob’s story. Just beautiful. One of my memories was of Rob bringing some home made caramels (Joann’s recipe) that he had made into the Stanchion one night. They were the best caramels (would like to have that recipe)! Our hearts are with you all.
I just got the news today. I’m so sad Robbie. I’ve missed our heart to hearts since I’ve moved to Northfield. I watched your service tonight and it was beautiful. Sounds like you’ve been doing some great stuff. I’m proud of you. Til we meet again. Rest In Peace, Robbie. Say hi to Bill. It’s been 27 years today. Jo
