My DEEPEST sympathy to Ricks family. Liv, I cannot express words for the loss of your wonderful father. HUGS to you. Wendy Olson
To Rick’s Family: So sorry for your loss. I worked with Rick years ago and he was a wonderful person. This was such a shock. Hugs and Prayers.
My deepest sympathy to Rick’s children, family, and friends. I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
We lost a great son, brother, father, uncle, nephew & friend when we lost Rick. He did, indeed, have a big heart and loved life. He will be greatly missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Rick’s accident and death. He was a wonderful person. I want to let you know what a great help and comfort he was to my mom(Aunt Amy) and me. My stepdad, Del, was in Abbott Northwestern for 2 1/2 months. Rick contacted the head of the hospital and arranged for my mom to get a place to stay for free at the Wasi Center right on the hospital campus. We were able to walk to see Del and not have to commute to and from the hospital. He also took time out of his schedule to come to Minneapolis and visit my mom; talk to and comfort her. She and I were so appreciative of his care and concern.
I also have fond memories of a weekend we spent at Aunt Elsie and Ardmore’s farm with Lois and her boys. We all thought they were so nice and handsome.
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I am thinking of your family and praying that God will give peace and comfort.
Rick is a sweet and kind man. There are lots of memories of Rick in the Class of 1971 and in our church too. Lots of notes I can say but it is very hard to write it all in. The Class of 1971. We will miss you, Rick!
Our deepest condolences to Rick’s entire family, including Toni. I am happy to say that I had a chance to meet Rick, and knew from the first time we met that he was a good, kind hearted man. He will be missed by many and we will rejoice that he is with God now.
Our hearts go out to all of you with prayers for your peace. I knew Rick as ‘Ricky,’ my sweet, young cousin who lived across the street. Now he’s an angel in the chorus of the communion of saints! Bless his soul.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Rick’s family and friends at this sad time. When we think of Rick we will always remember his great sense of humor, his passion for life, and his compassion for others. We were blessed to be his classmates. May God’s peace be with you as you mourn his passing and celebrate his life. Dick and Linda

To the family of Rick, I am so sorry for your lose. I got to know Rick in 1997 during our church renovation project. Since that time Rick would often drive by on his bike while going to “Up the Creek Gill and Bar here in Silver Creek. Rick will be greatly missed. May God watch over all of his family and friends.

I was so saddened to learn of Ricky’s death. He was not only my cousin but a childhood friend. He taught me how to play “stretch” when our families were together for the 4th of July at Spirtwood Lake. I thought he was just the greatest-and he was! And what a sweet, wonderful man he became. I will always appreciate and be thankful to him for driving Aunt Lois to Bismarck to attend mom’s funeral.
My love, thought and prayers go out to you all in your time of sorrow. May your warm memories of your dear Ricky give you peace and comfort now and in the days to come.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Cousin Peach
