    To the Hanson family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I feel so blessed to have been able to be such a big part of Jims life. He was an amazing man who touched so many lives through out the years. I will always hold near to my heart all the laughs I was able to share with him and all the stories he told me, as well as the connection that was made with the entire family during his stay at Sunrise/Cottagewood. I will always remember his smile and his infectious laugh. He impacted every single person he came in contact with and his legacy will live on forever in the hearts of every single person who had the opportunity to meet him. He was and is loved and will be greatly missed.
We used to always sing Swing Low sweet Chariot together. Whenever I hear that song I will think of him fondly.
    “Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home,
    Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home.

I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?
Coming for to carry me home,
A band of angels coming after me,
Coming for to carry me home.

    Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home,
    Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home.”

    Sincerely with Love

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a much needed sheperd during his time in Odessa. He touched all our lives. Johnathon still talks about him.

Jim was the finest pastor I ever had. He served us at Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord in Odessa, TX. He was a man whose ministry was marked by his exceptional compassion and remarkable integrity. He remains a hallmark to me of what a pastor should be. He didn’t just talk the talk; he walked the walk.

Pastor Jim was a great friend and truly one of the finest persons I have ever known. He was the pastor to all of Winters, Texas. We are thinking about you Ramona and family.

I am saddened by Jim Hanson’s death. My prayers for Ramona and family who all were so instumental in my spiritual life. Many good memories of their family in Crookston. May God bless and comfort them.
