Reuben Edgar Streich, age 84, of Marysville Township, rural Maple Lake, passed away on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids from heart failure.

He was born in Albion Township, Wright County, on January 26, 1934 to Ella (nee Bartels) and Adolph Streich.

Reuben was baptized on May 14, 1934 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Middleville Township. He was confirmed on May 18, 1947 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

He graduated from Buffalo High School in May of 1952.

On August 20, 1954, Reuben Streich and Joan Randel were joined in marriage at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo by Pastor E.R. Berwald. To this union five children were born.

At churches he attended he taught Sunday school, bible class, was an elder and a choir member. He also sang with the Bisionaires. Reuben was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Corcoran, Minnesota where he was an elder and sang in the choir.

Reuben was a dairy farmer for fifty-two years and retired to a small acreage on his home farm where he grew up and drove tractor to put crops in.

Survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years: Joan Streich; children: Bradley Streich of Maple Lake, Brian (Pam) Streich of Cokato, Brenda (Kevin) Saxton of Concord, North Carolina, Bonny (Chris) Luthy of Awendaw, South Carolina and Bruce (Angie) Streich of Albertville; eight grandchildren: Joshua (Kelli) Saxton, Kyle Saxton, Tyler Streich, Caleb Streich, Danielle Streich, Nathan Streich, Joel Streich and Aaron Streich; brothers and sisters: Alvin (Jackie) Streich, Dorothy Loch, Marvin Streich, Marion Loch, Don (Yvonne) Streich and Janet (Ed) Swingley; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Jean Birkholz and David (Margaret) Randel; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Adolph & Ella Streich, nephews Steven Birkholz and Patrick Randel, a niece Angela Wagner, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Fred and Mabel Randel and by brothers-in-law Willis Birkholz, Ronald Loch and Don Loch.

Funeral services for Reuben Streich will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7675 Maple Hill Road, in Corocoran, Minnesota. Pastor Tobin Pederson will officiate. Anna Pederson will be the organist for the funeral service.

Interment will follow at The Maple Lake Community Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 7th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8th one hour prior to services at the church.

Casket Bearers will be his eight grandchildren.
