Regina Theresa Hughes (McClintock) was born on November 27, 1974 and died tragically on March 19, 2021 at 46 years of age.
Regina was a healer and a leader, who invested her heart and soul into her children, Ryan and Emily. She was a gold standard mother while supporting their dreams and aspirations throughout the years. She was a devoted champion for her friends and gave encouragement to all who knew her. Her fierce compassion for the underdog, lost and forgotten was manifested in the living of her life and in the love of her rescue dogs, Taz and Luna.
She graduated in 1993 from Park Center High School and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 2009. Regina was employed at Wright County as a Records Management Analyst since 2019 and previously for six years as the Nursing Support Coordinator at Buffalo Allina Hospital. In her earlier years she was a CNA with Northridge Care Facilities where she touched the lives of countless elderly patients. Regina went on to become a Certified Massage Therapist and launched her own practice, eventually becoming the Executive Program Chair at the Minnesota School of Business Massage Department.
Survived by her son, Ryan Hughes, 25; and her daughter, Emily Hughes, 22. Mother, Patricia McClintock; father, Mark McClintock and step-mother, Mary McClintock. Brothers, Kelly McClintock, Michael McClintock (Lisa) and Mitchell McClintock. Aunt, Tracy Hoffman and other Aunts, Pamela Hoffman Oxendine, Sandy Perry, Cleo Peichel (Doug), Maggie Merkin (Fred). Nieces, Ashlyn McClintock, MaKayla McClintock, and Brooke Pearson. Nephews, Luke McClintock, Levi McClintock, and Reid McClintock. Cousins, Priscilla Haring, Josie Nyberg, Katie Piechel, Kristin Graeber (Dave), Christopher Peichel, Justin Merkin, Emily Perry. Regina had many close friends, too many to list here, however best friend, Sara Hamann, was her “sister” as well.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN. A private family service will be held.
When I think of Regina I remember her calming presence and her beautiful smile. My deepest condolences to all her loved ones.
Emily, Ryan, and Family. My heart is breaking with you. I haven’t seen Regina for years, but as one does, I have watched you both grow up through Facebook posts and could feel the love and pride in both of you. I worked with her ages ago at North Ridge Nursing Home but have beautiful memories of that time. I remember us sitting in my yard on blankets with our new babies excited to watch them grow. It is clear how proud you both made her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I haven’t seen Regina since 2016 when I worked at Buffalo Hospital, but I can tell you… I worked with many people, and Regina stands out to me! She was so kind, sweet, and her smile – so Beautiful! It hurts my heart that she, of all people, lost her life this horrific way! I pray that God comforts you, and know that many loved her!
Prayers for peace and comfort to Regina’s family and friends. I had the honor of working with her. So smart, kind, and just passionate. Regina is missed. Her memory is a blessing.
Neither of us ever met Regina but Mary always spoke of her fondly when we worked together at NorthPoint. We wish to extend our deepest condolences. May God bless you with peace in the way only He can do.
My heart aches deeply for your loss. Regina was an amazing person, massage therapist and massage instructor. She was someone I respected and enjoyed working with at MSB. She was a passionate person with a smile that lit up a room.
I have no words to say how sorry I am that we have lost this amazing, wonderful, fiercely loyal, brave, true friend, sister, daughter and mother. I have so many wonderful memories of times with Regina both at work and at her house and at the corner bar. There will always be an empty hole in my heart. I had the immense pleasure of being Regina’s office mate for six years at MSB. She always had time to listen, talk and laugh. Maya Angelou must have had Regina in mind when she said “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Regina, thank you for being a positive influence on my life.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Regina at the Buffalo hospital and she is everything you said she was! She was an amazing co-worker and always went above and beyond to help the staff out. She was a beautiful, caring, hard working and compassionate soul and she will be missed by many! She will be an amazing angel watching over her children, family and friends.
