Raymond Philip Marquette, age 57, of Marysville Township passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born on June 16, 1958 the son of Alvin J. “Jack” & LaDonna (Martineau) Marquette.

Raymond loved growing up on his family’s farm. He enjoyed maintaining the farm, cutting trees, picking rock and spending time on his tractors.

He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1976.

On October 27, 1979, Raymond P. Marquette and Linda J. Mohring were joined in holy marriage at Montrose United Methodist Church. God blessed their marriage with two children. He deeply loved his family, setting an example of kindness, compassion and strong work ethic.

Raymond was employed for thirty-four years at Randy’s Environmental Services. He joined the company as their first employee and held many positions; driver, route supervisor, operations manager, training and safety coordinator and most recently as a processing facility supervisor.

He was a faithful member of Montrose United Methodist Church. He served his church as a trustee, chairperson of the trustees and on the building committee.

Raymond was a former volunteer fireman for eleven years for the Waverly Fire Department. He currently was the president of The Kreidler Cemetery Association.

He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He especially loved late winter ice fishing.

Raymond could easily talk to anyone and relationships were important to him.

Survived by his loving wife: Linda J. Marquette; a daughter: Jessica J. (Lee) Reinhart of Buffalo and their children Hunter and Evelyn Reinhart and by a son: Erik T. (Kelsey) Marquette of Montrose; his mother: LaDonna Marquette of Buffalo; siblings: Renee Marquette of Dayton, Stuart (Cathy) Marquette and Perry (Lisa) Marquette all of Buffalo; brothers-in-law: Allan (Jackie) Mohring of St. Paul and Paul (Linda) Mohring of Brooklyn Center; nieces and nephews, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Preceded in death by his father Alvin J. “Jack” Marquette and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred & Lucille Mohring.

Funeral Services for Raymond Marquette will be held on Monday, February 8th at 11:00 A.M. at The Montrose United Methodist Church. Reverend Cheryl Goode will officiate. Interment will follow at Kreidler Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 1-5 P.M. at The Montrose United Methodist Church. Further visitation will be held on Monday, February 8th one hour prior to services at the church.

Casket Bearers will be Stuart Marquette, Donald Grangroth, Roger Vanderlinde, Randy Roskowiak, David Lund, John Pfeffer.
