Raymond John “Jack” Glunz, age 84, of Buffalo passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at New River Medical Center in Monticello.

He was born on January 10, 1927 in Buffalo the son of George & Lillian Jasmer Glunz Sr.

On November 4, 1950, Ray Glunz and Phyllis Opat were joined in holy marriage at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Father Morgan performed the ceremony. God blessed their marriage with five children.

As a young man he worked several years for Vic Corron. He later owned & operated Ray Glunz Construction for more than fifty years serving the Wright County area. He was a hard worker and instilled his work ethic in his children.

He enjoyed stock car races and the demo derby at The Wright County Fair. Jack also watched all-star wrestling, old TV re-runs, liked listening to old tyme music and playing cards.

Survived by wife of sixty years: Phyllis A. Glunz; children: Amy (Mike) Elsenpeter of Maple Lake, Gary Glunz of Plymouth, Dale (Betty) Glunz of Maple Lake, Linda Glunz of Plymouth and Dean Glunz (friend Diane) of Buffalo; grandchildren: Jennifer Elsenpeter Brustuen (Jarod) of Palmdale, California, Benjamin Elsenpeter (Jessica) of Maple Lake, Scott Elsenpeter (Penny) of Monticello, Mitchel Elsenpeter of Maple Lake, David Glunz (Kimberly) of Annandale, Nicole Glunz (Russell Green) of Annandale and Angela Glunz of Rochester; great grandchildren: Kelsey & Joshua Brustuen, Gracie & Bryn Elsenpeter, Reed Elsenpeter, Jenevieve, Easton and Colton Glunz, Rebecca, Nathan and Caden Green; a sister: Catherine (Harold) Lambert of St. Louis Park; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: William, Robert, George Jr., Tony “Bud” Glunz and by a sister: Marie LaFave.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ray Glunz will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of St. Francis in Buffalo.

Private interment St. Francis Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22nd from 4-7 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Friday morning, September 23rd at the church one hour prior to Mass.

Casket Bearers will be Cliff Lambert, Harold Lambert Jr., Donald Lambert, Jerry LaFave, Tom LaFave and Chris Mauk.
