Ralph W. Robasse, age 83 of Buffalo, UAW Twin Cities Ford Assembly Plant employee of 42 years, passed away at home on Monday, May 1, 2017.
Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Leona; brother, Walter Jr.; daughter, Lisa; and granddaughter, Kelly.
Survived by wife, Joyce; children, Sandra (Michael) Underberg, Cynthia Robasse-Varner, and Donald (Kelly) Robasse; grandchildren, Amie and Chelsie Underberg, Charles, Frances, Zachary and Emily Varner, Amanda Robasse, Angela (Grant) Jones; great-grandchildren, Brea and Brody Swendsrud and Braelynn Jones; as well as brother, Kenneth; and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was born November 6, 1933 in Buffalo (Chatham Township), MN. He attended St. Francis School until he was needed on the family farm. He later joined the U.S. Army Reserve and was called to active duty stationed in Pusan, Korea in a clean up effort after the war. After his service he returned home where he met and married his wife of 58 years, Joyce Skoglund. Ralph and Joyce lived in Minneapolis briefly before building their current home in Buffalo.
Ralph was a hard worker and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, brother and friend to many. His compassion and willingness to help others along with his quick wit and humor will never be forgotten. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Visitation Thursday, May 4th from 4 to 8 PM, with prayer service 7 PM, at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 5th at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 300 1st Ave NW, Buffalo. Burial with military rites following at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Buffalo.
