R. A. “Tony” Krier, age 73, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Tony was born June 29, 1937, in Morton, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Anna (Welter) Krier.
He retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sargent after more than 20 years of service. He then worked for Ashland Oil and after retiring for the 2nd time sold everything and lived in a camper for several years traveling with his wife, Susan, until she passed away July 10, 1999. They lived in Raymondville, Texas during the winter and enjoyed being a Winter Texan. They spent their summers in Otsego, Minnesota.
Tony is survived by his children: Marie (Dave) Theis, Michael (Janine) Krier,; Bonnie (Gary) Fettig, Ron (Heather) Krier and Jeffrey (Amy) Krier; grandchildren: Andrew, Allison, Joshua, Steven, Zach, Tessa, Bryan, Brianna & Hailey; brother, Sylvester (Virginia) Krier. Also survived by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Kay (Higgins) Krier; parents, Frank & Anna (Welter) Krier; daughter, Elizabeth Krier; grandson, Matthew James Krier; brothers, James Krier and Donald (Barbara Anne) Krier; Mother & Father-in-Law, James & Genevieve Higgins.
Mass is 11:00am Monday, May 16, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to the service at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfort Parkway NE, St. Michael, MN 55376.
Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville is proud to have served the family.
