It is with sadness that we share with you the news of the passing of Philip William Landgraf on February 28, 2011, at the age of 95. He passed away quietly at the Parkview Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota. Philip was born in Canby, Minnesota on December 24, 1915. His family moved to Paynesville, Minnesota in 1931. It was here that he met and married Elva Cook. They moved to Starbuck in 1955 and resided there until 2007. He was known in the community for his photography, gardening and wood carving. He was active in the community, at Fron Church, was a member of the garden club, and was a volunteer paramedic for several years. He is survived by Elva, his wife of 69 years; his children Suzanne Magnuson of Watertown, MN, Gary (Linda) of Moorhead, MN and Janet Axtell (James) of Nisswa, MN; four grandchildren, John and Tim Magnuson and Eric Landgraf and Rachel (Landgraf) Kusilek; two great grandchildren, Liliana and Ryker Magnuson; sister Carol (Don) Bender of Brookings, SD; sister-in-law Margorie Landgraf of Hudson, FL and brother-in-law Henry Franz of Bingham Lake, MN, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at Fron Lutheran Church, in Starbuck, MN on April 15, at 11:00.
