Patrick N. Spaeth, age 81, of Fridley, MN died peacefully at home on Oct. 24th surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife Roberta (Bobbie) and 6 children: Tim Spaeth (fiancé Char Ahmann), Terry (Vance) Zoller, Patti (John) Fitzpatrick, Jean (Jeff) Kainz, Peggy (Scott) Glad, Maria (Bill) Vileta, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews.

He was one of 15 children who were raised on a farm in Mahnomen, MN.

He served in the Army in Japan after the Korean War.

He worked at Honeywell where he met and married his wife Roberta Loftus. They were blessed with a marriage of 57 years.

He received his Master’s Degree in Education from St. Cloud State University.

He taught for the Columbia Heights School Dist. for 30 years and retired in 1993. He enjoyed playing cards, exercising and was known for his famous baked bread “Grandpa’s toast.” His kindness and unconditional love will be missed by those who knew him, especially his loving family.
