Visitation Information

Patrick “Pat” Cecil Bauer, age 79, of Buffalo passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born on October 30, 1932 in Hopkins the son of Cecil Christian & Elvira Matilda Mickelson Bauer.

Pat honorably served his Country in The United States Army during The Korean War.

He was formerly employed as a long haul truck driver for Ruan Transport in Des Moines, Iowa for many years.

Past was a member of The Buffalo American Legion Post #270 for over sixty years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping at Codger’s Cove in Howard Lake. Pat also enjoyed bird watching.

Survived by his loving wife: Judith A. Bauer of Buffalo; a daughter: Ginger Olson (Dan Elsenpeter) of Buffalo; grandchildren: Tina Jeske (Travis LaFave), Kaylee Olson, Amanda & Garrison Elsenpeter all of Buffalo; great grandchildren: Amber & Autumn Jeske, Destiny LaFave, Tyler & Tatum Warnke; great, great grandchildren: Luci & Raeleigh Jeske and baby boy on the way; step children: John & Mark Watson (Cindy Poierer) and JayLynn Newton; step grandchildren: Lisa Kramber and Chantel Newton; step great grandchildren: Brianna, Maggie, Karson and Ava Kramber; a sister: Karin (Richard) Watland of Lakeville, Minnesota; former sons-in-law: Kevin “Wally” Olson of Buffalo and John Newton of Montrose; special friend: Michael Sage of Buffalo; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Barb Root and wife: Lucille Bauer.

A Private family service will be held at a later date.
