Patrick A. Rogers passed away peacefully at his home in Buffalo on May 21,2015 at the age of 85.

Pat was born on July 20, 1929 in Waverly, MN to the late William A. Rogers and Francis (Cebulla) Rogers. He lived with his Uncle Tom and Aunt Bernita Cebulla as a teen until he finished Buffalo High School in 1947. After working for area farmers and at a service station in Buffalo, Pat was drafted into the Army in 1951 and served with the 2nd Armored Cavalry in Germany. Pat married Joanne Mielke in 1951. After his military service, Pat owned and operated Rockford Mobile Service Station. In 1968 Pat and his family moved to Sleepy Eye, MN where he owned and operated NAPA Auto Parts stores. In 1974 Pat and his family returned to Buffalo where he owned and operated Pat’s Standards Parts (NAPA). His mechanical nature and love of cars enabled him to truly enjoy what he did until his retirement in 1987.

Pat’s greatest passions in life included polka dancing with his wife Joanne and fishing. He fished year round at his Lake Ida home. He shared his love of fishing with family and friends who enjoyed time either on his boat, docks or in his many ice fishing houses. If Pat was not fishing, he could be found getting ready to go fishing or on a dance floor doing the polka with Joanne and friends.

Pat leaves his wife of 63 years, Joanne (Mielke) Rogers. He will always be remembered and loved forever by his children, Gail (Dennis) Fischer, Alan (June) Rogers, Lois (Kevin) Killian; and cherished grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Fischer, Neil Fischer, Nolan (Heather) Fischer and Alora Killian; 8 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo at 1:00PM, with visitation beginning at noon. A visitation will also be held Tuesday, May 26th from 5 to 8 PM with prayer service at 7:30 PM at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

A private burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
