Orlan Kenneth Krohn was peacefully called Home by our Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
He was born at his family’s home in Albion Township, Wright County, MN on August 30, 1925.
Orlan was baptized at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Albion Township on
September 27, 1925 and confirmed in his faith at St. James Lutheran Church, Howard
Lake, MN on April 2, 1939 by Pastor Eugene Seltz. He served in the United States Army
and was stationed in Germany as a surgical tech. Following his honorable discharge in
December 1946, he married Luella Hirsch on February 14, 1947 at St. James Lutheran Church
in Howard Lake by Pastor Theo Melinat. They were blessed with 71 years of marriage and
two children.
Orlan is preceded in death by his wife, Luella, his parents Walter and Elsie (Reek) Krohn,
brothers Howard and Orville, sister Ardella Simon, grandson Jason Wilkman, great
grandson Jacob Mathias, daughter-in-law MaryAnn Krohn and granddaughter
Elizabeth Krohn. Orlan is survived by his son Larry, grandchildren Kristine (Andy) Solovjovs,
Michelle (Dan) Mathias, great grandchildren Gabby and Hannah Mathias, grandson
Michael Krohn, great grandchildren Jonah and Annie Krohn, daughter Sandra (David) Wilkman,
grandchild Janelle (Chuck) Morin and great grandchildren Matthew and Mason Morin,
brother Ralph (Jeannie) Krohn, sister Delores Glessing, sister-in-law Laverne Krohn and
sisters-in-law and brother-in-law of Luella, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Our Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa will be greatly missed and we hold beautiful and treasured
memories in our hearts. One day we will meet again in Heaven to spend eternity together.
