Opal Irene Hagedon, 83, died peacefully in her sleep July 18th at Sunrise Cottages, Buffalo, Minnesota.
Charles and Iva (Alexander) Curran on March 8th, 1924 welcomed Opal Irene into the world in Maryville, Kansas. She was baptized at the Church of Christ by Pastor Lorts in Clovis New Mexico. Her dad was a manager of Wilson and Co. plants so she attended school in many states. She graduated from Ottumwa High School and also St Catherine™s College.
In 1942 Opal and Cloyd Hagedon were married by his father Pastor Walter Hagedon in a beautiful garden wedding. They had 3 children Larry, Carroll and Steven.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Eva Curran; son: Steven; and sister Maxine Hanson.
Opal is survived by sons: Larry Hagedon of Keosauqua and Carroll (Reva) Hagedon of Enid, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Rebecca, Steven, Robert, Keith, Carlina, and Estelle; many great grandchildren; sister: Darlene (Herman) Felt of Alexandria; nephews, nieces and many good friends.
A small graveside service was held at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria, Minnesota near the graves of her sister and parents.
