Norma J. (Boe) Larson, age 86, passed away May 5, 2018 at The Legacy of St. Michael, where she had resided for the past 2 years. She was born in Ashby, MN on August 6, 1931 to Edward and Nancy (Evavold) Boe.

Norma received her Baptism on October 4, 1931 at Pelican Lake Lutheran Church in Ashby, where she was also Confirmed on October 27, 1946. She was a graduate of Ashby High School in 1949. Following graduation, Norma moved to Minneapolis where she found employment in an investment firm in the IDS building for 43 years.

She met Gerald E. Larson, and they were married on August 29, 1953 at Pelican Lake Lutheran Church in Ashby, MN. After living in North Minneapolis, they moved to St. Michael where they lived for many happy years together.

Known to many as a jokester and teaser, Norma was full of Ole and Lena jokes, and often had many mischievous and quirky comments to share. You could always find her smiling with a special twinkle in her eye. She’d often joke that she was the “cutest one” of the group and enjoyed the company of many friends and family.

Norma especially enjoyed dancing with her husband Gerald, antique shopping, bowling, playing bingo or cards, gambling at the casino, and going to Red Hats Society activities with her friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Gerald E (May 8, 2005); parents, Edward and Nancy Boe; siblings, Raymond, Stanley, Dorothy Johnson, and Ruth Larsen; Survived by brother-in-law, Carlyle Larsen of Madison, MN, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Boe of Arizona and Dorothy Riglin of Colorado; numerous nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12, at 11 AM with gathering time one hour prior at Life in Christ Church, 5015 Main Ave NE, Albertville, MN. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
