Norita R. DesMarais, age 87, of rural Buffalo passed away on Saturday evening, December 8th, 2018.
She was born in St. Michael on September 14th, 1931 the daughter of August & Bridget (Dehmer) Kasper.
On June 30, 1953, Norita R. Kasper and Aelred E. DesMarais were joined in holy marriage at The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with ten children.
Norita was a homemaker and also a CNA at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and gardening.
Norita was a dedicated volunteer. She spent much of her time volunteering at St. Francis Xavier Church/School, Kings House and local nursing homes while showing charitable/prayerful support to many.
Survived by her loving children: Edie (Roger) Kloss, Elaine DesMarais, David (Sandi) DesMarais, Mary (Robert) Smith, Arnie (Mary) DesMarais and Ben (Jennifer) DesMarais; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister: Agnes (Joe) Marketon; sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Aelred on February 27, 1999, children Evelyn, Michael, Anita and Daniel, her parents, two brothers, five sisters and by parents-in-law: LeRoy & Edith (Hance) DesMarais.
Mass of Christian Burial for Norita DesMarais will be held on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Father Nathaniel Meyers will be the Celebrant and private interment at St. Francis Cemetery.
A visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH on Thursday, December 13th from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
Urn Bearer will be Norita’s oldest grandchild Vanessa Masten. Honorary Bearers will be grandchildren: Jacinda Clarke, Robby Smith, Lindsey Bomgren, Abbi Zabinski, Lydia DesMarais, Natalie DesMarais, Nathan DesMarais, Cody DesMarais, Garrett DesMarais and Bridget DesMarais.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Norita DesMarais are preferred to St. Francis Xavier Church/School.
