Noris John Evenson, age 80, of St. Michael, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
He was born on March 4, 1929 in Mora, Minnesota the son of Noris & Dora Keil Evenson.
Noris honorably served in The United States Army in Korea. He was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart.
On May 27, 1955, Noris Evenson & Sally Bedore were joined in holy marriage in Mora, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with two children.
He was formerly employed at Swift & Company in South Saint Paul and later in Denver.
Noris was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, gardening and loved flowers.
Survived by his loving wife of fifty four years: Sally Evenson; children: Brad Evenson and Nori Jo Johansen both of Denver, Colorado; two brothers: Vernon (Betty) Evenson of Remer and Richard (Mary) Evenson of Mora; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and many friends;
Preceded in death by his parents, four sisters: Doris Sizer, Dorothy Freeman, Billie Reed and Shirley Paulson and by a brother: David Evenson.
A Memorial service for Noris Evenson will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 11:00 A.M. at Life in Christ Lutheran Church in Albertville, Minnesota.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, December 30th from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the church.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home is serving the family.
