Norbert A. Zachman, 88, of St. Michael, MN, died on December 4, 2010. He is preceded in death by parents, Louis & Minnie Zachman; brothers, Art, Ray & Reverend Francis Zachman; sister, Sister Genieve OSF and grandson, Joey Bongaarts.
Norbert was a World War II veteran who proudly served in the US Merchant Marines.
Norbert is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years, Verena (Barthel) Zachman and children, Barbara (Darrell) Tucker of Clear Lake, Carol (Gene) Anderson of Coon Rapids, Ron (Barb) Zachman of Otsego, Glen Zachman of Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Linda) Zachman of Big Lake, Sandy (Bob) Bongaarts of Albertville; 15 grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Sister Cecilia OSF & Sister Rosalia OSF of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Father Clarence Zachman of Bellville, IL in-laws, Pete & Florence Eisenberg, Benno & Margaret Barthel, Donald Barthel, Norman Barthel, Louis & Sylvia Barthel, Catherine Elsenpeter and Betty & Harvey Zahler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfurt Parkway NE, St. Michael, MN.
Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Monday December 6, 2010 at the St. Michael Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:00pm. There will be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
