Myrtle M. Bonk, age 95 of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 peacefully surrounded by her family at Parkview Care Center. She was born July 4, 1919 in Buffalo Township to Frank and Anna Augusta (Marschel) Ordorff. She attended Kobbe Country School.
On September 18, 1937 she was united in marriage to Ray Bonk at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Pelican Lake. God blessed their marriage with 5 children.
Myrtle was a very loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her flower gardens on the farm, playing cards, dancing and attending her grandchildren’s many activities. Her biggest joy was her Christian faith and attending worship at St. John’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; son-in-law, Jack Bodin; grandson, David Bonk; great-grandsons, Austin Vininski and Tyler Bonk; and ten brothers and sisters.
Survived by children, Byron and (Mavis) Bonk, Allen and (Marilyn) Bonk, Eileen Bodin, Fred and (Monyean) Bonk, and Gary and (Cyndi) Bonk; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Ordorff; sister-in-law, Marian Lacina; and many other relatives, neighbors and Woodmere family. She will be missed by all.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, with interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Officiating was Pastor Philip Meyer and Pastor Roger Klemz. Visitation was held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 4-8 at the church. Further visitation was held one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Arrangements were handled through The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.

So sorry we were unable to attend the visitation and service. We attended Bev’s uncles’ funeral out of state.

I had the pleasure of meeting Myrtle many years ago and she was the SWEETEST little lady and so very kind. I will be sending extra prayers to Heaven for her. Her family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
