With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Myron (Mike) Rux, age 90 of Rockford, MN. He passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 at United Hospital where he was admitted for a brief time and never regained consciousness.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Rux; mother, Mabel Harff Rux; and son, Rick Rux all of Rockford, MN.

He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Ellie Morin Rux; children, Julie Patnode (Randy) of Minnesota, Lonny Rux (Lene) of Hawaii, Sandy Scarnato (Bill) of South Carolina; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and also many relatives whom he loved very much.

He was a graduate of Rockford High School, then served in the Army and went on to work for FMC where he retired after 45 years. He loved to travel, read, watch old westerns, research his family tree and continue to learn about the history of his country.

He had many hobbies and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed his Grain Belt beer and his many friends at Billy’s and his kind neighbors, Perry and Linda Rux. Mike played amateur baseball from 1948-1973; he was inducted into the North Star Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. We will all miss him very much; he was an amazing man.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be determined at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com

Mom and dad are saddened to hear of Mike’s death. There are many memories and stories dad and Mike shared. They will likely not be able to travel for a memorial service, but be assured Mike is dearly missed and remembered with great love. Don and Marge Orgon
