Myra I. Wright, age 75, of South Haven and formerly of Montrose passed away at her residence on January 26, 2016.
She was born on May 16, 1940 in Watertown the daughter of Albert and Emma (Rolf) Graunke.
On March 19, 1965, Myra I. Graunke and Gary L. Wright were joined in holy marriage at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose. God blessed their marriage with two sons Mike and Paul. Gary preceded Myra in death on May 26, 1998.
On May 8, 2005, Myra I. Wright and Eugene Kusha were joined in marriage at St. Mary’s Czestochowa Church in rural Delano.
Myra was formerly employed at Tonka Toys, Red’s Café and also did housecleaning in the Wayzata area for many years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, playing cards, fishing, garage sales and especially her grandchildren.
Survived by her husband: Eugene “Gene” Kusha of South Haven; her sons: Mike (Kellie) Wright and Paul Wright both of Montrose; four grandchildren: Brittany, Samantha, Kurt and Kirstin; step daughters: Linda Danielson of Delano, Kim (Chris) Capaul of Mayer and Tammie (Rick) Trevena of Eden Prairie; fourteen step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren; sisters: Carol (Garry) Brausen of Buffalo, Janice (Norris) Hirsch of Nevis, Donna Brown of Minneapolis and Leora (Eldon) Krause of Delano; many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her first husband, Myra was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Emma Graunke, brothers Willard, Merlin, Wilbur, Delphon and Orville Graunke and by an infant sister Ethel.
Funeral services for Myra Wright will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose. Pastor James Grabitske will officiate. Private interment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral lunch will follow at The K.C. Hall, 301 5th Street N., in Waverly.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30th from 9:30 A.M. until time of services at the church.
Memorials are suggested for The American Cancer Society.

    I am so sorry we missed the service for Myra. Visiting the family is always nice and Myra was a very sweet lady. I cared for her a lot. So very sorry for your loss but there are great memories and she gave a hell of a fight.
