Muriel Jean Heisler, age 75 of St. Michael, passed away March 18, 2016 at Cottagewood in Buffalo. Visitation will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael. Further visitation will be held at church one hour prior to services.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mickey Heisler will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Interment St. Michael Cemetery in St. Michael, MN
She was born February 4, 1941 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, the daughter of Howard and Muriel Dawson. Mickey grew up in Robbinsdale. She and Jim Heisler were joined in marriage in October 1961 in Robbinsdale and were married for 38 years. The two were blessed with three children. Mickey worked part-time as a keypunch operator while raising children. She continued to work in a variety of other jobs as her kids grew older. After her marriage ended, she met her special partner, Mike and the two enjoyed 15 years together.
Mickey cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also loved traveling, boating, walking being in the outdoors and had a keen eye for decorating and fashion.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Muriel Dawson; brother, Jim Dawson; sister, Jean (Jerry) Sainio; and nephews, Jeff Davis, Greg Sainio, and Kevin Dawson.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Vicki) Heisler, Sheryl (Larry) Adams, Paul (Shana) Heisler; grandchildren, Joshua Adams, Kallie Adams, Zachary Adams, Lauren Bailey, Drew Heisler, Joey Heisler; great-granddaughter, Karsyn Adams; siblings, Sharon (Denis) Davis, John (Kathy) Dawson, Pat (Doug) Schirmers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Casket bearers are Mickey’s grandchildren: Joshua Adams, Kallie Adams, Zachary Adams, Lauren Bailey, Drew Heisler and Joey Heisler.
Memorials preferred to Cottagewood Senior Communities, Buffalo, MN.
