Muriel E. Marschel, age 78, of Buffalo passed away on Friday, February 21st, 2014 are her residence.

She was born on November 28, 1935 in Buffalo Townshhip, Wright County the daughter of Fred & Evelyn (Parmeter) Ordorff.
Muriel was baptized on December 25, 1935 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake by Pastor W. C. Nickels. She was also instructed in The Lutheran catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on June 5, 1949 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor Paul Nolting.

She graduated from Buffalo High School.
On June 2, 1956, Muriel E. Ordorff and James R. Marschel were joined in holy marriage at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake by Pastor G. H. Geiger. God blessed their marriage with eight children.

Muriel enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren! She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, visiting with people and working at The Wise Penny in Buffalo as a volunteer.
She was a faithful, life-long member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake.
Survived by her children: Jenny Long, Tammy Degn, Sue Jeske (Keith Decker) all of Buffalo, Scott D. (Sue) Marschel of Maple Lake and Terry L. Aneisa) Marschel of Buffalo; twelve grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a brother and sisters: Milo (Lucille) Ordorff, Marilyn (Wayne) Ruckle and Marlene (Ted) Moody all of Buffalo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband: James R. Marschel Sr. on April 10, 2005, her father: Fred Ordorff on May 24, 1992 and by her mother: Evelyn Ordorff on May 30th, 2010, an infant daughter, a son: Thomas M. Marschel on April 19, 1988 and by a son: Jim Marschel Jr. on December 15, 2010 and by her father-in-law: Robert J. Marschel on October 5, 1993 and her mother-in-law: Viola D. Marschel on February 13, 1988.

Funeral services for Muriel Marschel will be held on Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake. Pastor Stephen A. Smith will officiate and interment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Karen Davis will be the organist for the funeral service.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, February 25th at the church one hour prior to services.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Eric Degn, Dominick Marschel, Sawyer Marschel, Scottie Marschel and Skyler Marschel.

Casket Bearers will be Michael Vassar, Matthew Jeske, Darin Wandersee, Michael Degn, Adam Jeske and Steven Gremillion.
