Ron, Bernie, Kimi, Kelly, Karen, Jill & all who I called family so many years ago…

What a shock, how heartbreaking. You have my condolences and heartfelt prayers as you go through the next few days, weeks and months. Life without Gail is going to be different, but who knows what plans God has in store, or His reasons. We must trust.

I remember Gail’s laugh as if I saw her yesterday, even though it has been many years. You lost a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, cousin, friend. She is now in Heaven watching over you. She is now with relatives and friends gone before.

I’ll be thinking of you with sympathy, love and wonderful memories,

    Deb (Carlson) Priebe

I knew Gail from high school, and had read about her many times since on the Journal Press website. Each time it described her taking a tough stand in politics (for what appeared to me from Atlanta to be the right reasons), I would think “of course, that’s Gail.” I have a heavy heart thinking she is gone, and I am truly sorry for what I know is your real and deep loss.

    Erin, Nick, Dani & Family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Gail’s passing. My head and heart are still reeling with disbelieve and pain. Gail always walked to her own beat & was a true & caring friend. You can’t sit across from someone & have them hold your hands every other week for 10 plus years and not get a true sense of that person.
She loved her children, friends & family and her “other children” Tina, Lucy Lu & Shea. You could really see the true Gail when she was interacting with them. Her guard came down, and her love of life really showed.
I will miss her smile, her loud, rough voice, her stories and opinions. Most of all I will miss that distinctive laugh and her unconditional friendship.
In the next few days, we will all see how much Gail touched everyone’s life in such a positive way and how much everyone will miss her. You have every right to be proud of her!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Hold on heaven, here comes Gail.

    To the Lachermeier family:
As I read over some of the condolences, the common thread that everyone will remember Gail by was her big smile (all of you Lachermeier’s own it!)and her contagious laugh. Not only did she crack herself up, but she made everyone around her laugh. Anyone who ever spent time with Gail will remember her for that special gift and will be reminded of her often when they laugh. My thoughts are with you all.
