Jeanette I. Ahlm, age 81 of Buffalo died Sunday morning, August 14, 2011 at North Memorial Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on December 10, 1929 in Maple Plain, Minnesota, the daughter of Oscar and Lila Braun Magnuson.
On May 5, 1951 Gerald L. Ahlm and Jeanette I. Magnuson were joined in holy marriage at The Presbyterian Church in Maple Plain. God blessed their marriage with a son David.
Jeanette was employed by Federal Land Bank in Buffalo as well as a legal secretary for the Johnson, Johnson and Douglas Law Firm of Buffalo and West Law Office of Buffalo.
She was a faithful lifelong member of The United Methodist Church in Buffalo.
Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, Great-Grandson and her many neighbors. Jeanette and Jerry enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping and traveling.
Survived by loving son David Ahlm and his partner Teri Holgate, Grandchildren Jennifer Ahlm Mueller (Andrew), Patrick Ahlm, Nicholas Ahlm, their mother Andrea Ahlm, and Great-grandson TY Harvey Ahlm. Also survived by in-laws Roger (Marlene) Ahlm, Beverly Wolfsteller, Adrian Luoma, and Judy Miller, and Helen Magnuson.
Proceeded in death by her loving husband Gerald Ahlm, parents Oscar and Lila Magnuson, and brother Warren Magnuson.
Memorial Services for Jeanette I. Ahlm will be held Tuesday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m. at The United Methodist Church in Buffalo. Visitation will take place at 10:00 until the time of the service. Pastor Kent Felska will officiate.
Interment will be at Pelican Lake Methodist Cemetery following the service.
