Ardath Lorraine Peterson, 95, of Buffalo, MN passed away peacefully, May 28th of natural causes.
She was the oldest of three daughters born to the late Gene and Beulah Mills in Buffalo on May 15th, 1916. Ardath graduated from Buffalo High School. She was married to the late Wallace Irving Peterson on May 28, 1949.
Ardath gave her heart to the Lord as a young child at Bible camp and continued to serve Him in her family, church and community for the rest of her life. She worked as a clerk at Wagner Drug Store in downtown Buffalo for many years. She then became a teacher’s aide for children with special needs in the Buffalo elementary school. She was a dedicated member of the federated women’s club and an avid game player. She looked forward to her weekly card game with her dear friends. She treasured her family and prayed for them each by name daily. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, especially hummingbirds and cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, her daughter Mary Matthews, her infant son, her sister Nona (Mills) Jensen and brother in law David Jensen, her neice Linnea (Jensen) Mills, her youngest sister Elva (Mills) Berger and brother in law Ed Berger.
She is survived by her daughter Judy (Peterson) Leonard and son in law William Leonard, 10 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
A reviewal will be held Saturday June 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Chapel in Buffalo. A celebration of her life will immediatly follow the reviewal.
Funeral services for Ardath Peterson will be held Saturday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Interment will be in the Pelican Lake Cemetery.
