Visitation Information

Ma Thongvivong, age 66, of Worthington, MN passed away on Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at his son’s home in Monticello after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pm at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN is in charge of arrangements.

Ma was born on May 5, 1945, in Savannakhet, Laos. He and his family moved to the United States in December of 1980.

Ma worked at Campbell’s Soup from 1981 until the plant closed in 1995. He was most recently employed with Highland Manufacturing.

Ma passed away at his son’s home surrounded by his family on May 17, 2011 at the age of 66 years.

He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Va, of 46 years; his daughter Savivanh (Toum) Ratsabouth of St. Bonifacius; his three sons, Seng (Kelly) Thongvivong of Windom; Korakahn (Laurel) Thongvivong of Monticello; and Lei Thongvivong of St. Bonifacius; grandchildren, Cynthia Ratsabouth, Chin Ratsabouth, Kelsie Thongvivong, Alexis Thongvivong, and Brandon Thongvivong.
