Mildred Millie Martin, 93, of Albertville died peacefully in the presence of her loving and caring family on Friday, April 18th, 2008.
Millie was born December 7th, 1914 in Dayton, Minnesota to Joe and Lillian Berg. She married Alrick Martin on June 25th, 1935.
Millie is preceded in death by husband: Alrick; grandchildren: Clint Martin and Noah Martin; great grandchild: Trevor Lene; great-great grandchild: Colton Troseth; brothers: John Berg and Gilbert Berg; sister: Delvina Peterson; and son-in-law: Butch Corbin.
She is survived by children: Audrey (Archie) Kilian of St. Michael, Duane Martin of Albertville, Eugene Martin of Princeton, Arlene (Loren) Dehmer of St. Michael, Joanne (Pete) Monson of Stillwater, Diane (Gerald) Milless of Rogers, Betty (Larry) McAlpine of Princeton, Gerald (Ramona) Martin of Otsego, Donna Corbin of St. Michael, Mary (Gerald) Holland of Otsego, Eldon (LeAnne) Martin of Albertville, Linda (Gene) Kirk of Albertville, Theresa (Terry) Bourgeois of Zimmerman, Dale (Bev) Martin of Elk River and Daniel Martin of Ogilvie; 63 grandchildren; 104 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Gladys Bandimere of Minneapolis, Lucille Rein of Shakopee, Marvel Siebenaler of Shakopee, and Lillian Rau of Hoffman Estates, IL; many nephews, nieces, friends and relatives.
She was an active member of the Albertville community and a member of the Christian Mothers since 1942. Also she was president of St. Albert Senior Citizens in 1995. Millie has passed on her religious values and teachings of the catholic faith to her family. She showed her devotion to the Blessed Mother by the recital of many rosaries through out the day and led the rosary at St. Albert™s Catholic Church for many years. She volunteered for many hours at the local nursing homes and visited the shut-ins. She is known for her fun loving sense of humor; at times you would see her in clown outfits, sparkles in her hair, 4th of July patriotic outfits and many Halloween costumes.
Visitation for Millie will be Sunday, April 20th, 2008 from 3 to 8pm at St. Albert Catholic Church of Albertville. A prayer service will begin at 8pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 21st, 2008 at 11am at St. Albert Catholic Church of Albertville. Visitation will begin at 10am and rosary prayers will begin at 10:15am.
Interment will be at St. Albert Catholic Cemetery of Albertville.
