Age 80 of Rockford and formerly New York Mills, passed away November 29, 2018. Millie was born the daughter of William & Helmie Maijala on April 27, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elsie Bajumpaa, Ruth Selle, Ethel Paavola and Edith; brothers, Roland, Rudy, Rueben and Gary Maijala. Millie is survived by her children, Michelle (Jim) Malmgren, Jeanne (Nick) Mehok, Todd LaPointe and Mark (Kathy) Anderson; grandchildren Joe, Dan, Tim, Riley, Nevaeh, Nolan and Tammy (Juan); great grandchildren Jadon, Dashon, Cylus, Elsie, Kingston and Knightley; one great great grandson; brother Ray Maijala; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial service for Millie will be held Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St. N., St. Michael. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery in New York Mills on Saturday, December 8.
