Mildred Lucille Dalbec, age 91, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 300 1st Ave NW, Buffalo. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 5-8 PM at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave N, Buffalo & one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Maple Lake, MN.
Mildred was born on October 9, 1921 in Buffalo, MN to Joseph & Florence (Hance) Zumbusch. She married Lester J. Dalbec on September 19, 1940. They made their home in Wayzata & years later in Buffalo. Together they started & ran Lester J. Dalbec Roofing & Sheet Metal Co. for three decades from 1946-1978. Mom loved to play cards, fish, cheer for the Twins & Vikings & spend time with her family & best friend, Tuddy.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Ken of Buffalo, MN, Cliff (Bobbie) of Andover, MN, Clyde (Elena) of Mission Viejo, CA; daughters, Linda (Ric) Bauer of Ft. Myers Beach, FL & Marcell, MN, Denise (Wayne) Olson of Minnetonka, MN; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Zumbusch of Buffalo, MN; sisters, Joyce Painschaub of Howard Lake, MN & Marcella Borrell of Mahtomedi, MN, & many other loving family members & friends.
