Michael R. Sifferle age 81 years, of Buffalo, MN, passed away surrounded by family on March 11, 2023.
Preceded in death by loving wife, Janette, parents Edward and Mae Sifferle, sister Rita Maley, brother Edward Sifferle and step-daughter Gwen E. Dolmar.
Survived by step-children, Steven W. Hanson (Cyndee), Nancy J. Forsberg (Glen), Janine L. Oberg (Jerald), and Gordon E. Hanson, Jr., brother James Sifferle, sister Judy Hillstead (Larry), 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, Michael attended St. Thomas Academy where he was on the drill squad and basketball team. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a business degree. He got his pilot license. He was then drafted into the army and served honorably in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of VFW. He partnered in ownership of Rubber Specialties, Inc. with his dad and brothers until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin in the summer, fishing and having family gatherings. Arizona was his favorite place to go in the winter. In his adventurous days he enjoyed hiking on Superstition Mountain and searching for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold. Golfing and playing pickle ball were also favorite activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 300 1st Ave. NW, Buffalo, MN on Monday, March 20th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.
Burial will be at Fort Snelling cemetery at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
