Maxine Boehne of Buffalo, MN passed away on October 6th, 2013 at the age of 80 at Good Samaritan of Howard Lake in Howard Lake, MN. Maxine was born on August 4, 1933 in Parkers Prairie, MN, to Melvin and Veda (Angell) Lokken. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale Boehne, on March 15th, 1952 in Benton Harbor, MI. They moved to Minnesota in 1964, residing in Waconia, Maple Grove and, most recently, Buffalo. She worked as a secretary for many years at Safco Products and enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Stone Lake, WI. Maxine loved crafts. She was a fantastic painter and quilter, and many examples of her beautiful work can be found in the homes of her children. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her feisty personality, strength, sense of humor, and extraordinary kindness.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Aileen White. Maxine is survived by Dale, her husband of 61 years; children Mike (DeeAnn) Boehne, David (Julie) Boehne, John (Beverly) Boehne, and Susan Randall; 10 grandchildren; and brothers Merlyn (Kathleen) Lokken and Roger Lokken.

Memorial service for Maxine Boehne will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Dan Schnabel will officiate.

A celebration of life will be held from 2-5 PM at the American Legion, 304 – 10th Avenue South, Buffalo, MN.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Boehne, Jeremy Boehne, Alissa Boehne, Jason Lahr, Jennifer Randall, Chad Boehne, Christopher Boehne, Travis Boehne, Amanda Boehne and Sarah Schmitz.

The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, MN assisted the family with arrangements.
