Matthew Steven Fuchs, age 44 of Hanover, left us on April 8, 2024. He was born on January 5, 1980, in Rochester, MN, to Steven and Mary (Witte) Fuchs.

Growing up in Anoka, Matthew graduated from Anoka High School with the class of 1998. He pursued higher education briefly at Rasmussen and Concordia Colleges, focusing on business studies. Throughout his life, Matthew displayed a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He held positions at Ready Set and Home Depot before venturing into entrepreneurship himself. Eventually, he found his forever career and joined the Bloomington Carpet One team, where he demonstrated his dedication and passion for his work.

While Matthew found success in his professional endeavors, the true joy of his life came with the role of fatherhood. He was immensely proud of his children, Arianna, Tommy, and step-son Keegan. Matthew’s commitment to his children was evident in his active involvement in their lives. He coached their sports teams, cheered them on at school functions, and provided unwavering support in all their events.

Matthew’s generous spirit extended beyond his immediate circle. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and gave generously to various charities. His kindness touched the lives of many and left an undeniable mark on those who knew him.

Beyond his professional and family life, he had many hobbies outside of work. He was an avid golfer, and spent many hours out on the course with friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time out on the lake fishing and liked to watch football games.

Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Fuchs, and Earl Witte, as well as his uncle, Tom Fuchs, and aunt, Carol Loechler.

He is survived by his loving wife, Courtney; his children, Arianna, Tommy, and step-son, Keegan; parents, Steve and Mary Fuchs; siblings, Mike (Anna) Fuchs and Megan (Matt) Dass; grandmother, Mary Ann Witte; nieces and nephew, Eleanor, Oliver, Scarlett, and Vera; his children’s mother, April Endreson, and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tunnel to Towers, a charity he held dear to his heart (https://t2t.org/)

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM, with the funeral service commencing at 4:00 PM, all at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael-Albertville (300 Main Street North).

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com.

We’re so lucky to have known Matt. He was an incredibly kind and interesting man; a person you could just easily talk to about anything.
The thing that really sticks with us about Matt, though, is how proud he was of his children and how much his love for them showed. Matt is incredibly loved and incredibly missed.
