Matthew A. Altenhofen, age 72 of Delano, passed away February 26, 2019. He was born in Hutchinson, MN to Benedict Sr. and Dorothy (Bollmann) Altenhofen.
He worked at Tonka Toys for many years and was an over the road truck driver until his retirement in 2009. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed playing card games like cribbage and sheephead. Matt was a loving brother, uncle, and friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benedict Sr. and Dorothy; sister, Bernadette Altenhofen; and niece, Pamela Rademacher.
Matt is survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Adrian) Rademacher; brother, Ben Altenhofen; nephews, Dean (Ellen) Rademacher and David (special friend, Patty Ertl) Rademacher; niece and godchild, Jodi (Jason) Radel; 6 great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
A private family Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo at 5 PM.
