Kittelson, Mary Suzanne, age 47 of Rockford passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015.
Mary was born in Watertown, MN on September 29, 1968. She lived the majority of her life in Rockford, but she actually graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, MN in 1987.
She was united in marriage to Leland “Lee” Bruce Kittelson, Jr. on August 19, 1995 in Buffalo, MN and they were married 20 years.
Mary worked a variety of jobs, such as a nursing assistant, clerk positions, and in coffee shops. All of her jobs involved her generous service to others, and she was known for her smile and her laughter and her love of hats. Her nickname was “Mary Sunshine”. She was a loving wife, devoted to her parents, and generous with her time with her siblings.
Mary is survived by her husband Lee, her parents Raymond and Irene Buffie of Rockford, MN; sisters Beverly (Darrell) Koopman and Jacquelyn Hansen; brothers Kenneth (Julie) Buffie and Perry (Kimberly) Buffie; also many beloved nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation for Mary will be held Wed., November 4 from 5-6:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford. Memorial service for Mary will be Thurs., November 5 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service all at Our Father’s Lutheran Church, 3903 Gilbert Ave. SE, Rockford, MN.
Rev. Jon Rhodes of Our Father’s will be officiating and Rev. Kimberly Buffie, from House of Grace in Montrose, MN, will be preaching.
Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.
