Mary Jane Brunet, age 82, of Buffalo passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 29, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Thomas Collins and Grace Lovejoy.

In 1948 Mary Collins and Paul Holasek were joined in holy marriage in Minneapolis. Their marriage was blessed with four children. In 1974 she then married Donald “Paul” Brunet and they were married for 25 years.

Mary enjoyed traveling, baking, canning and shopping. She was a very friendly and outgoing woman.

Survived by son: John (Joy) Holasek of Buffalo, MN; daughters: Susan Holasek (Craig Stempf) of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Laurie Holasek (Steve Sielaff) of Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren David Swanson, Michael Swanson, Ryan Stempf, Derek Stempf, Christopher Holasek and Alex Holasek-Sielaff; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by a daughter Paula Swanson; husband Paul Holasek and second husband Paul Brunet.

Funeral services for Mary Jane Brunet will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Peterson Chapel.

Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
