Mary Domka, age 78, of Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.

Mary Helen Domka was born September 14, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Robert Henry and Verena (Arrell) Kneefe. She grew up in St. Peter, MN and graduated in 1955 from St. Peter High School.

On August 8, 1964 Mary Helen Kneefe and Thomas Charles Domka were joined in holy marriage at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brooklyn Center. The family made their home in Brooklyn Center for 25 years. They then moved to St. Michael for 11 years before settling in Buffalo in 2002.

Mary enjoyed volunteering in the office at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, watching birds, spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved the simple things in life. She was a devout Catholic.

Mary is survived by her five children and grandchildren, Michael (Vicki) and Emma Domka of Becker, Michelle (Hans) and Brianna and Tyler Klinepier of Becker, Tim (Jennifer) and Spencer Domka of Buffalo, Gregory (Melissa) and Mitchell, Danielle, McKenna and Jordan Domka of Monticello, and Katie and Gretchen Domka of Buffalo; siblings, Pat (Katie) Kneefe of New Ulm, Tim (Nancy) Kneefe of Anoka, Bernadette Kneefe of Montana; sister-in-law, Nancy Kneefe of Maple Grove; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Domka, and brother, Bob Kneefe.

Honorary urn bearers are her grandchildren: Emma Domka, Brianna Klinepier, Tyler Klinepier, Spencer Domka, Mitchell Domka, Danielle Domka, McKenna Domka, Jordan Domka, and Gretchen Domka.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Private family interment will be at a later date.

    Our sincerest condolences to the Domka Family. We just got to meet “Mom” this past year and loved her big warm smile and energy at the WMBB concerts. She made us feel like part of the family.
