Marvin William Yonak, age 85, of Buffalo passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Lake Ridge Care Center-Oasis Unit.

Marvin was born on July 3, 1929 to William and Lillian Yonak in Maple Lake Township.

He married Ann Dixon of Rockford, Minnesota on September 14, 1950.

Marvin enjoyed traveling, eating, playing cards, shuffle board with his buddies at The Buffalo Covenant Church and being with his family and friends. He was an active member at The Monticello Covenant Church known as grandpa Marvin to everyone there. He was the oldest living Yonak at the time of his death.

Marvin and Ann have four children: Andy (Diane) of Buffalo, Kathy (Ernesto Tapiz) of Monticello, Bill (Sonja) of Monticello and Tim of Denver, Colorado; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Marvin worked at J.R. Clark Co. in Mound, Minnesota as a machinist from 1955 to 1971 and for the Buffalo School District as a custodian from 1971 until his retirement in 1991. He continued to sub for the schools until 1999.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Eugene, his parents: William & Lillian. further survived by sisters: Donna Kaufman of Chisholm, Minnesota, Joyce Collins of Buffalo, Minnesota and Joan (Chuck) Barthel of Clearwater, Minnesota.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

    Just heard that Marvin had passed away. SO SORRY to hear that. Always enjoyed when he would stop at my shop, DL’S Radiator And Exhaust in Buffalo to talk. He will be missed!
