Marseilla E. Scheie, age 87, of St. Louis Park passed away on Friday, November 19th, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on May 30, 1923 in Winthrop the daughter of William & Myrtle Rabens.

Marseilla graduated from Montrose High School.

On July 19, 1945, Marseilla Rabens & Art Scheie were joined in holy marriage at her parents homestead North of Montrose.
God blessed their marriage with two sons.

Marseilla was formerly employed at several banks in the metro area and she also drove school bus in St. Louis Park.

She enjoyed camping, fishing as was a fabulous baker.

Survived by loving sons: Bill (Debbie) Scheie of St. Louis Park and Bruce (Dawn) Scheie of Montrose; grandchildren: Sonya Scheie, Andrew Scheie and fiancée Keisha, Erich, Ian and Jacob Scheie; sisters: Bernice (Les) Huston of Coon Rapids, Norma Babatz of Spring Park and Carol (John) Berg of Buffalo; a sister-in-law Harriet Rabens; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by Husband Art Scheie, her parents, a sister: Lucille Epple, two brothers: Merrill Rabens and Gordon Rabens and by a brother-in-law: John Babatz.

Funeral services for Marseilla Scheie will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 23rd at The United Methodist Church in Montrose. Pastor Jef Olson will officiate. Interment will follow at The Kreidler Cemetery in rural Montrose.

A visitation will be held at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Monday, November 22nd from 4 till 8 P.M.

Casket Bearers will be Andrew Scheie, Erich Scheie, Ian Scheie, Jacob Scheie and Sonya Scheie, Bob Epple, Jim Epple and Ken Hruska.

    Very sorry for your loss. Marseilla will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. Dad (Merrill) spoke often of his love for his family, and it is shared by my family with love and warmth.
