Marlys G. Zimpfer
Age 92 of St. Michael, formerly Rockford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born on October 15, 1923 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Olaf and Hilda (Swenson) Yortenson. Marlys was a volunteer at the Rockford Library for many years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; son, Larry; parents; and siblings.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Nancy) and grandchildren, Douglas, Lucas, Linda and Neal.
A memorial service for Marlys will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 3:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior at The Legacy of St. Michael in St. Michael.
Serving the family is the Peterson Chapel St. Michael/Albertville Funeral Home.

Deeply saddened to hear about the lovely Marlys. She was ALWAYS A joy to be around and had a very contagious smile. Always sharing stories and making my day!! She called me “little one” and since I am a lefty, she also called me south paw. I will never forget her.
