Marlys Abagail Schleif, age 83 of Corcoran, passed away March 24, 2015. She was born August 18, 1931 in Greenwood Township to Walter and Lillian (Hohenstein) Harff. Marlys was baptized August 30, 1931 and confirmed April 2, 1944 by Pastor William P. Haar both at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenfield. She grew up in Greenfield Township where she attended Rockford High School graduating in 1949. Marlys Harff married Howard Schleif and they were blessed with three children. Marlys was a lifelong member at Salem Lutheran Church, member of VFW 325 Auxiliary, Cub Scout leader for 8 years and an Avon representative for 27 years. She will always be remembered most as a homemaker, great cook, a loving mom and enjoyed an occasional dance.

She is survived by husband of 64 years Howard; sons, Terry (Robin), Kenneth (Susan) and Daryl; grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew (Melissa), Kelly, Jennie (Tim), Amy (Jon), Lisa and Rene; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen (Ronald) Tiemann and Renata (Jack) Russek; brothers-in-law, Duane Beise and Willmar Bechtold.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Visitation for Marlys will be Friday, March 27 from 4-8 PM at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenfield.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 28 at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Salem Lutheran Church, 9566 Pioneer Trail, Greenfield.
