November 19, 1922 – January 7, 2019

Marion L. Lacina, age 96, of Buffalo passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Park View Care Center.

She was born on November 19, 1922 in Buffalo the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Johnson) Bonk.

She graduated Normal School and later attended St. Cloud State College. For many years, she was a teacher at Country Schools and at Parkside Elementary in Buffalo.

Marion belonged to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo and was a Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post #270.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, camping, traveling and was a very caring person. Marion was also very civic minded.

Survived by three loving children: Rita (Bradley) Holland of Buffalo, Ruth Ann (Randy) Tronnes of Bonita Springs Florida and Robert Lacina Jr. of Buffalo; grandchildren: Theresa (Bill) Henson, Jennifer Duncan, Matthew (Julie) Munstenteiger, Adam (Kareen) Munstenteiger and Noah Munstenteiger; great grandchildren: Ben (Kaylee) Henson, Matthew Henson, Izak Duncan, Van Munstenteiger, Asher Munstenteiger, Ivy Munstenteiger and Sienna Munstenteiger; a great, great grandchild: Boone Henson; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by husband Robert A. Lacina Sr., her parents, seven brothers & sisters and by a great granddaughter Nora Munstenteiger.

Funeral Service for Marion Lacina will be held on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.  Pastor Dave Taylor will officiate.  Private Interment follows at The Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 one hour prior to services at the funeral home

    Rita, Ruthie & Bob;
    Just heard of your mom’s passing & wish to express our sympathy.
    She was such a nice lady. I feel lucky as I have one of the many quilts/lap robes she made. It was one she made for Sylvia & when she passed, dad gave it to me as Sylvia was my godmother. If you visit us in Mn, you will see it as we frequently use it. Marion would be happy that we use it & not shove it in a drawer to save for whenever. Thinking of you……….

    Marion was our neighbor for many years and we missed her when we moved away. She was so special. God Bless our memories of Marion and Bob too.

    To the Lacina Family, I just heard about your Mom’s passing, We shared many good times with her and Bob “years ago”. Sorry I couldn’t be there. Thoughts and prayers to you. Always “Cherish the memories”
