My sympathies to the family. I always remember Mrs. Linnemann as being very kind and helpful. I never saw her angry and believe me, we gave her plenty of reason. To this day, I tell people I had a “Marian the Librarian” in my school. She touched many of the student’s lives and her memory will live on.

So sorry for your loss. Miss Linnemann was our librarian at Breckenridge High School. I graduated in 1972. She had her hands full keeping the students quiet and respectful while in the library. She was the best.

My sincere sympathy. Marion was a dear, kind friend. We first met when we were both students at St.Ben’s. Then years later,we were both at Breckenridge, MN. We lived at the same house–her apt. was across from mine. I am sorry that I can’t attend her funeral, since I live at Morgan, MN. We would have lunch together when I was in Alexandria, and she drove through on her way back to Breck. I miss her so much, but she’s at peace in eternity.

Miss Linnemann was our librarian in Breckenridge. The Class of ’55 was honored to have her and several of her peers attend our 50th reunion in 1965. Many memories to share there. Remember her fondly. She will be missed by many.

    God’s blessings to her family.

Miss Linneman’s greatest gifts to the students of Breckenridge were intellectual curiosity and dedication. Two traits that that I learned from her and try to emulate in my role as a librarian.

To the family of Marion; My prayers to you and Marion. I was a student at Breckenridge when she was there. Had a lot of fun. I was a little mischief but not too bad.

Marion was a dear friend of mine. We were students together at The College of St. Benedict. Years later we were neighbors living next to one another in Breckenridge, MN as we were both working as teachers there. Later, when I was in Alexandria, MN and as Marion would travel from Breckenridge to St. Michael, she would stop along the way and we would have lunch together. I would stay with her in her apartment in Breckenridge when I traveled to visit her and other friends such as the Meindel’s. I will greatly miss this kind and lovely friend.

A wonderful person and a dedicated educator. She put up with a lot of our antics, but was always professional and willing to help anyone.

Rest in peace Marion. My class of 1955 in Breckenridge gave you some highly charged moments. You were always so kind to us no matter what we did.

I remember Marion as a serious person who was highly committed to helping students. Her seriousness sometimes caused “wise guy” students (such as me!) to joke about her—something to which she would respond with a patient smile. I came to appreciate her more fully as I grew older (and, I hope, more mature). She regularly attended our “Class of ’57” reunions—a wonderful reminder of the solidity of BHS in 1957. Thanks, Marion!
