Marilee Ellen Wuollet, age 76, of Rogers, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Unity Hospital in Fridley.
She was born on July 16, 1945 in Laurium, Michigan, the daughter of Oliver & Dorothy (Kemppainen) Pelto.
On August 28, 1965, Marilee Pelto and Daniel Wuollet were joined in marriage in Detroit, Michigan. God blessed their marriage with fourteen children.
Marilee was an artist. She enjoyed sketching and painting while listening to audiobooks, lectures and music. She was an avid reader and learner, and spent many hours on the computer. She was a careful listener. Her unassuming demeanor allowed her to develop deep and meaningful relationships with others, and she shared her gifts and wisdom in her own easy and undemanding style. Though she was quiet by nature, her impish sense of fun emerged from time to time to surprise and delight those around her. Her greatest joys were her husband and her babies. Her manner with children was special. She was content to hold babies in the rocking chair and talk and sing to them for hours. Her greatest treasure was her faith. She endeavored to live by faith day by day in her uncomplicated way.
Survived by her loving husband of 56 years: Daniel; children: Theodore (Tiina), Paul, Patricia (Blaine) Maki, Christopher (Cindie), Eric (Janell), Anthony (Michelle), Martin (Karyn), Virginia, Joseph, Gregory (Sarah), Aaron (Shawna), Kenneth (Karen), Peter (Allison) and Robert (Becca); ninety-two grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; siblings: Judy (Ken) Aho, Janet (Vern) Wittenberg, Pauline (Dave) Kantola and Clifford (Colleen) Pelto; a special aunt: Clara Nevala; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, and by her granddaughter Molly Wuollet.
Funeral services for Marilee Wuollet will be held on Monday, November 1st, at 11:00 AM at Elk River Laestadian Lutheran Church, 8595 201st Avenue NW, in Nowthen.
Committal will be on Monday, November 1st, at 2:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 5125 W Broadway Ave, in Crystal.
Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, October 31st, starting at 4:00 PM, with a service at 6:00 PM. Further visitation will be held on Monday, November 1st, for one hour prior to funeral services at the church.
Aaron, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I know your mom’s legacy will carry into your family, her grand-children and great-grand children. May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.
