Marian June Yager, age 97 of New Hope, MN formerly of St. Michael, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 24, 2026. She was born in Montgomery, MN on June 25, 1929 to August and Eunice (Ashmore) Korinta.
Throughout her career, Marian held a variety of service and administrative positions that she dedicatedly served for many years, making everlasting friendships.
Marian was a voracious reader and enjoyed bowling with her bowling league, playing cards and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a true people person with a gold heart. Her kindness made everyone feel welcome, and hospitality was one of her greatest gifts. She was one of the best friends anyone could ask for. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Milford “Bud” Yager; and parents, August and Eunice Korinta.
Marian is survived by her children, Cheryl (Steve) Hanson, Steve (Cindy) Yager, Julie (Kirby) Spike; grandchildren, Angie (Chris), Eric, Jamie (Sergio), Kati (Nate), Rachel (Drew), Nate (Alyse), Hannah (Steve); 10 great-grandchildren, sisters, Una Stueven, Dianne (David) Epple; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo, MN. Burial will be at Cassel Cemetery in Delano, MN.
