Margaret M. Dressen, age 86 of Buffalo, died peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2008 at Park View Care Center.

On March 27, 1921 Margaret Mary Geary was born to Matthew and Mary (nee Provo) Geary in Maple Lake. After graduating from Maple Lake High School, Margaret began working for the local Doctor™s office. Margaret was a longtime, active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, first at Maple Lake Post 131, which she joined while her brothers were in the military. On August 1, 1959, she married Alvin J. Dressen of Buffalo at St. Timothy™s Catholic Church in Maple Lake and became step-mother to Al™s three children. Upon moving to Buffalo, Margaret transferred her church membership to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and her Auxiliary membership to Post 270. For a time, she was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Margaret was a member of the Midwest T-Bird Club and enjoyed going with Al to Classic Car Shows. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, gardening, country-western music, and assisting Al with Dressen™s Bar-B-Q Beef. She spent the last four years enjoyably, at Sunrise Cottages.

Margaret Dressen is survived by her husband, Al of Buffalo; two step-sons: Mike (Michiko) of Lakeville, and David of Monticello; step-daughter, Terrie (Mike) Piram of Buffalo; seven grandchildren: Lindsey, Whitney, Taylor, and Devony Dressen, Tina (Bryan) Revolinski, Cassie (Jesse) Seestrom, and Luke Piram; three great-grandchildren: Devan and Tyler Revolinski, and Abby Seestrom; sisters-in-law: MaryAnn Geary of Maple Lake and Nina Geary of Buffalo; and also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: George and Harley Geary.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The visitation is at the church, one hour before the funeral. The burial is in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Father Jim Deegan will be the Celebrant. Casket bearers will be: Mike Dressen, David Dressen, Luke Piram, Joe Dzurik, Jim Lanie, and Bill Carter.

    I was sorry to hear about Margaret passing. I didnt feel like I could come to the funeral. I am sending a card. I hope your health is ok. I miss talking and seeing all the Dressen family.
