Margaret Ann Wurm, age 92, of Annandale and formerly of Maple Lake Township, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021.
She was born in Maple Lake on October 1, 1928 the daughter of Julius and Grace (McAlpine) Beck.
On October 15, 1949, Margaret Ann Beck and Thomas M. Wurm were joined in holy marriage at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Margaret and Tom farmed in Maple Lake Township, Wright County for many years.
She was also employed as a CNA at The Buffalo and Monticello Hospitals and Ebenezer Nursing Home.
Margaret enjoyed shopping, playing 500, traveling and dancing.
She belonged to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Margaret was also a former greeter at Walmart.
Survived by her children: Dennis (Donna) Wurm of Clearwater, Steven Wurm of Buffalo, Mary (David) Schmidt of Annandale and Daniel (Jacqueline) Wurm and John (Lois) Wurm all of Buffalo; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Marilyn Beck of Buffalo; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Wurm in 1991, by her parents, a sister Mary (Thomas) Hammes and by a brother Robert F. Beck.
Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Wurm will be held on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Father Nathaniel Meyers will be the Celebrant. Interment St. Timothy’s Cemetery in Maple Lake.
A visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH on Friday, June 4th one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers will be Thomas Wurm, Theodore Wurm, Thomas Piram, Kurtis Beck, Steve Beck and Justin Beck.
I was sad to hear of Margarets death. I worked with her many years at Ebenezer. She was a wonderful spunky lady that we all enjoyed. She always put the residents she cared for first. Prayers of comfort and strength for your family. Lynn Pfeifer
